KOTA KINABALU: Malaysians in Sabah as well as visitors can now expect a whole new world of shopping experience with lively ambience, ease of shopping with clearer product segmentation with the opening of senQ Digital Station at Karamunsing Complex here yesterday.

Operated and managed by Malaysia旧 leading electrical chain store Senheng Electric (KL) Sdn Bhd, the new concept mega-store is the company旧 first outlet in East Malaysia.

They are proud to introduce senQ Digital Station in Sabah.customers who shop at our digital station store can expect a new way of shopping, Senheng Electric managing director Lim Kim Heng said.

Speaking at the opening ceremony by Deputy Chief Minister Tan Sri Chong Kah Kiat, he said senQ is a name coined from the words sensing the quality which is all about lifestyle.

According to him, the mega-store creates opportunities for shoppers to touch, feel and test a wide range of latest high-tech products in spacious, comfortable environment.

He said the average floor space of senQ store is 18,000sq ft which is 10 times the size of existing Senheng outlets.

He said this allows the inclusion of innovative value-added services like internet and games rooms, special effect corners dedicated to specific categories and brands, and professional customer service dispensing answers to inquiries, usage and maintenance information plus product demonstration.

Lim said Senheng Electric plans to open another 10 outlets in Sabah within the next three years before expanding into Sarawak. The first shop will be Kuching followed by major towns in Sarawak.

He said the realization of the 10 outlets would mean employment opportunities for Sabahans and shopping convenience among others.

They are looking at five outlets in Kota Kinabalu and the balance will be in major municipalities like Tawau, Sandakan, and Lahad Datu, he said adding that Senheng is targeting to achieve RM430 million sales nationwide by the end of this year.

Kah Kiat meanwhile congratulated the company for making a wise decision to open up its first outlet in Kota Kinabalu.
